An early twentieth century Hamadan rug from north west Persia.
The trellised lozenge shaped camel field with pale blue centre medallion and pale blue spandrels filled with small boteh motifs. Subtle yellow floral main border, inner multi-coloured guard and light brown floral outer guard.
Thin pile but intact with very slight fraying to selvedges. Twill tape to ends on verso.
