A very narrow 1940s Karaja runner from north west Persia.
Ivory field with centre row of shield-shape medallions alternating with hooked medallions in cheerful pinks and reds with details in yellow and pale green; dark brown rosette main border.
Coarsely woven with a tufty pile as is typical of rugs from this region, it is in robust condition and will stand up well to use in a hall or corridor.
