A large 19th century Persian carpet with a striking but harmonious design. Wide enough to work as a narrow room carpet as well as a runner.
Large floral motifs on a blue ground in a narrow central section are surrounded by narrow and wide borders with geometric and flower shapes. The pile is thin and there is heavy wear down to base level at both ends. A little colour restoration has been done to restore the visibility of the pattern in these areas. Tape to verso of both ends and a mended split on one edge.
Supplied with rug grip tape for the four corners . Wool underlay cut to size can be supplied for an additional £30 - please enquire by email or DM on instagram if you want to add that to the purchase.
