A fine Chobi carpet of recent production from Afghanistan.
Pale gold field with all over scrolling flowers and palmettes outlined in dark red; pale gold floral main border and guards. Overall soft palette.
Slight fading on one side but this carpet has a pronounced patina and so is very light sensitive. It will reveal its full elegance and subtle warmth on a darker floor.
Robust handle.
