A fine early 20th century Balouch salar khani rug from north east Persia.
Dark blue field with two rows of serrated edge medallions in terracotta with little pops of yellow. Three half stepped medallions extending out of the field at each end; triple narrow borders.
Slight wear in places, otherwise overall even pile. Finely woven with delicate, precise patterning. Velvety pile.
A good tribal antique.
