An early 20th century Kurdish runner from North West Persia of all wool construction. It features a repeating boteh pattern on a pink base with floral blue and pink surrounding borders. Some "abrash" (colour variation due to dye taking differently to a new batch of wool) which is prized by collectors as a sign of an authentic nomadic or village rug.
Overall even wear with a couple of patches of wear to the browny-pink base (deeper pink at one end). Slight loss to ends.
This is a pleasing antique rug.
Underlay recommended.
