A charming, rare, early 20th century Baluch Salar Khani in a warm, soft palette.
In addition to the floral and geometric motifs are spandrels with abstractified human figures, possibly female fertility symbols.
Overall wear and thin pile with corrosion to dark brown. Some small holes have been discreetly patched to the verso. The top outer guard is missing and the lower end has been neatly refringed but this does not detract from the pleasing impression. Overall good condition for its age.
A perfect piece for a small space or to add into a room with other tribal rugs.
