An early 20th century Belouch rug from the Herat province in western Afghanistan.
An elegant design surrounds the three floral "guls" with leaf and vine, with a pleasing combination of pink, caramel and dark blue.
All wool construction. Two small holes have been discreetly patched to the verso with invisible mends on top by Yarn. Some wear to the base. Some loss to the exuberant wool fringes.
