A beautiful 1930s Hamadan village rug from north west Persia.
Dark blue field filled with various medallions and flowerheads; a pair of tiny tribesmen together with a pair of oversized birds at each end of the field. Terracotta palmette and floral main border, dark blue floral guards. Coral pink and pale green details throughout bring a vibrancy to this lovely piece.
Very minor loss to lower end and small areas of old moth damage, otherwise in good condition.
