A late 19th or early 20th century Karakecili rug from west Anatolia.
The Kara-Kecili (Turkish: "with black goats") are a formerly nomadic tribe of western Anatolia.
Dark blue lozenge shape field with inner hooked medallion surrounded by flowerheads; terracotta spandrels; wide main border of lozenges filled with flowerheads and hooked motifs; outer blue border of pairs of leaves.

A little loss to the ends but otherwise good condition with a soft handle. This is a fine antique rug.
