A striking 1930s Bakhtiari rug from the Chahar Mahal valley in west Persia.
The field is filled with large hexagons in red, dark blue and ivory filled with flowering trees and shrubs and some colourful birds in places. Wide red trailing vine main border and dark blue floral guards.
Overall even wear, slight loss to ends. A small hole on one spandrel has been patched by us.
