A 1930s Meshkin rug from the Hamadan district in north west Persia.
A pretty, subtle colour scheme with an ivory lozenge shaped field with faded pink centre medallion and a light brown flowerhead trellis that fills the field. Dark brown spandrels with flowerheads, animals and birds. Pale blue floral main border and faded pink floral guards.
Small patches of wear to base in places and some loss to ends but overall good condition for its age.
