An early 20th century Hamadan rug from northwest Persia. The navy blue field with a stepped pole medallion, within a pale blue flowering vine border. Attractive pattern in red, blue, yellow, pink, turquoise on a blue ground with red spandrels and turquoise/pink borders.
Some colour restoration has been done to small patches of wear in the central medallion and the previously frayed edges have been completely resewn by Yarn to bring this lovely rug back to its best self.
